• The App can be used without creating an account.
• In the future, when enabling trial, premium features, or account-based functionality, the App may process minimal account-related information (such as a login identifier, e.g. email) and authentication credentials solely to provide these features.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

The App does NOT collect or transmit:

• book texts,
• reading fragments,
• notes, highlights, or bookmarks.

For stability and security purposes, minimal technical data may be used:

• app version,
• device type,
• crash or error diagnostics.

This data is not intended to identify you personally.

2.3 Device and Training Data (Future Features)

To support premium/trial access, security, and training progress, the App may process:

• Limited device or installation identifiers (technical identifiers used for security, fraud prevention, subscription validation, and correct operation of premium features). These identifiers are not used for advertising or cross‑app tracking.
• Minimal training statistics (for example: session count, duration, speed levels, and accuracy), used only to provide progress tracking and improve training functionality. This data is not intended to identify you personally.

3. Content and Books

• Online search displays books only from public domain sources (e.g. Project Gutenberg).
• Books are stored locally on your device.
• We do not upload, analyze, or store your books on our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

SpeedReader Training may use trusted third-party service providers to support application functionality. For example:

• app distribution (Google Play),
• authentication and entitlement/subscription validation (if enabled in future versions),
• data synchronization and infrastructure services (if enabled in future versions),
• purchase and subscription processing (Google Play Billing).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share user data with third parties, except where required by law.

6. Data Retention

• Reading data is stored locally on your device.
• Technical data is retained only as necessary for app operation.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable laws (including GDPR where applicable), you may request access to or deletion of data. As most data is stored locally, uninstalling the App typically removes user data.

8. Children

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

By using SpeedReader Training (“SpeedReader”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Content

• SpeedReader does not distribute pirated or copyrighted content.
• Online content is sourced exclusively from public domain repositories (e.g. Project Gutenberg).
• Responsibility for personal files imported by the user rests with the user.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to violate applicable laws, attempt to reverse engineer the App, or misuse it.

5. Purchases and Premium Features

Some features may require payment. Payments are processed by Google Play. Refunds are governed by Google Play policies.

6. No Warranties

The App is provided “as is”, without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeedReader is not liable for data loss or indirect damages.

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
